Crispy Squid

Crispy Squid
 

Servings: 2

Ingredients

1/3 cup Tapioca Flour
2/3 cup Almond Flour or 2 slices Sourdough
1 Free-Range Egg
¼ cup Milk of choice
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Thyme
Pinch Salt & Pepper
300g Wild Squid
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, for cooking
Mayonnaise, to serve
Lemon Wedges, to serve
Sea Salt, to serve

Method

  1. Add tapioca flour to a bowl and set aside.

    2.     Blitz almond flour/sourdough, egg, milk, paprika, thyme, salt and pepper in a blender until combined (alternatively, combine by mixing in a bowl). Add to a separate bowl.

    3.     Lightly coat squid in tapioca flour and then dip into the blitzed batter.

    4.     Heat a frying pan and drizzle with oil.

    5.     Lightly fry squid for a couple of minutes or until golden on each side.

    6.     Serve with mayonnaise, sea salt and lemon wedges.
