Are you Magnesium Deficient?

Today I’m sharing one of my absolute wellness staples with you. Magnesium!
It is often a routine supplement for me and one that can really make a big difference.

So, let’s get into the nitty gritty.

Why is Magnesium Important?
Magnesium is essential to all cells and is actually one of the most common deficiencies in the Western world due to poor soil quality.

What are the benefits?
There are so many benefits of magnesium in the body.
Let’s name a few:
-Assisting digestive issues like constipation
-PMS Management
-Energy Production
-Helps with Muscle Cramping
-Exercise Recovery
-Craving Carbohydrates
-Lack of appetite
-Headaches
-Tiredness
-Body Odour
-Anxiety
-Relaxation, Stress Management and Cortisol Control
-Menopause
-PMS
-And Sleep which is essential for our body’s recovery.

Magnesium Sources
Food our number one priority
– Raw Cacao (yay chocolate!), dark green veggies, avocado, dates, nuts, seeds, meat and fish.
Supplements – if choosing to supplement, powders have fantastic absorption and are best taken of a night time to increase relaxation. If you experience diarrhoea, please decrease dosage or have every second day. I personally often take capsules for convenience. There are a couple ones I would recommend from your local chemist and some are practitioner only brands which require a nutrition consult.
Magnesium Sprays - like this one, which uses natural Ingredients of just purified water and magnesium chloride.
Magnesium Flakes – perfect for a relaxing bath!

Disclaimer
It is always best to work one on one with a qualified health professional to suit your needs (this is particularly important when it comes to magnesium if you have kidney/heart issues/disease). Stacey works with a limited number of clients, head here for more information.
