Homemade Granola Bars
This has been on my to list forever & my goodness they came out even better than I could have hoped for!!
I urge you to turn over a packet of store bought muesli bars, they are often full of sugar, low quality vegetable oils and unnecessary chemicals!
These bars are SO quick to make and are full of healthy fats to keep you feeling full as well as oats @gfoats for some slow releasing carbohydrate energy!
Servings: 12 Bars
Ingredients
1 cup GF Rolled Oats
¾ cup Shredded Coconut
½ cup Hazelnuts, roughly chopped
¼ cup Sunflower Seeds
2 tbsp Chia Seeds
¼ cup Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
¼ cup Rice Malt Syrup
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan forced.
2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl except coconut oil & rice malt syrup.
3. Separately, combine coconut oil & rice malt syrup, pour over dry ingredients whilst tossing.
4. Press mixture firmly into a brownie tin.
5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until browned.
6. Allow to completely cool down.
7. Once cooled, cut into desired sizes.
8. Store in an airtight container.
