Mushroom Beef Pasta

This pasta recipe is an amazing hearty, healthy meal that combines a rich mushroom
sauce with tender beef. Poured over pasta, this recipe makes a match made in heaven,
with just the right amount of spices this will have you going back for more!

 
Mushroom Beef Pasta
 

Servings: 2

Ingredients

250g San Remo Red Lentil Pasta⁠
200g Grass-Fed Beef, sliced into wafer thin strips⁠
1 tbsp Tamari⁠
2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil⁠
1 Garlic Clove⁠
½ Onion, chopped⁠
6 Button Mushrooms, sliced⁠
½ cup Milk (I used Almond Milk)⁠
1 tbsp Tomato Paste⁠
½ cup Beef Bone Broth or Vegetable Stock⁠
1 tbsp Tapioca⁠
Salt & Pepper, to taste⁠
Parmesan or Nutritional Yeast, sprinkled ⁠

 

 
Pasta with Beef and Mushroom Sauce
 

Method

1.         Place beef & tamari in a small bowl, let stand for 5 minutes.⁠

2.         Cook pasta as per instructions. ⁠

3.         Heat oil in pan, add garlic & onion. Stir until softened, approximately 2 minutes. ⁠

4.         Add in beef & mushroom. Stir until beef is lightly browned.⁠

5.         Add milk, tomato paste & broth to pan. Bring to boil. ⁠

6.         Sprinkle in tapioca flour and stir to combine. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until sauce thickens, approximately 5 minutes. ⁠

7.         Stir through cooked pasta and enjoy with a sprinkle of parmesan of nutritional yeast. ⁠
