Natural Baked Beans
I’ve been wanting to create this recipe for awhile now,
I used to love baked beans from a can growing up. But since learning about nutrition
& reading labels, I became very aware of what was actually in them.
Here is a common baked beans ingredient list:
Navy Beans (51%), Tomato Sauce (49%) [Tomatoes (41%), Sugar, Salt, Wheat Flour,
Maize Thickener (1414), Stabilisers (412, 466), Spices, Flavours. Colour (160c)
Ummm what the??? That is full of unnecessary ingredients that are made in a lab!
Instead of using artificial “flavours” (which we have no idea what they actually are)
and colours (for pure aesthetics) and stabilisers and thickeners etc…
I’d much rather just make my own!!
So here we are homemade NATURAL baked beans!
These babies are full of flavour and your body will thank you
for consuming real wholesome food.
